When you’ve been making art with kids for as long as we have, you begin to notice some trends and themes that the students just can’t get enough of. Two of the themes that will never go out of style are rockets and robots!
We used some templates to create cutout shapes for the students to build their pictures, which were made from construction paper, patterned paper, and our secret weapon: recycled paintings that kids leave behind for the studio to reuse. This provides us with an endless supply of colorful, textural material that we can turn into any number of collage projects.
Here, we combined the paper cutouts with stars, glitter, googly eyes and gems for these amazing collages with a theme that is out of this world!
