Storytelling

April 20, 2018 • Passport To Preschool

Passport 2 Preschool brought some of their favorite characters to life during storytelling week!

The kids chose some of their favorite stories to read with the class this week, as they talked about how stories are made. Their key parts are that they have a beginning, a middle and an end. The art that came out of this week also had multiple stages, of beginning, middle and end, including painting with cotton swabs and connecting the dots.

They even brought stories to life, making some of their favorite characters. One in particular this year has been The Snatchabook by Helen Docherty and Thomas Docherty. Of course one of the key components to stories is letters, which make up the words, which make up the stories. The group played matching games to work on letter recognition, and also practiced writing the letters in their name!
