Life Drawing at the Park

April 2, 2012 • After School Workshop

We’ve been taking advantage of the unseasonably nice weather by taking the After School kids to the park down the road.

We’re lucky to have a relatively small, easy to manage group of students, so all week, Brianne has been taking them to the park to let a little energy out, and also to work on some simple life drawing projects.

For a group so young, it’s easy to get started in life drawing by having the students draw the images they find in the clouds. With this approach, there is no wrong way to interpret what they’re seeing in the sky, and they also get to use their imaginations. Brianne had the students climb to the top of the park’s hill to get the best view!
