Chance Dictates!

October 8, 2014 • After School Workshop

Last week was BUSY – so much so that I can merely skim the surface here. We set aside for one week being the sole authors of our artistic output and instead wholeheartedly jumped into collaborating with each other and with CHANCE. It was quite thrilling; we played musical easels, the surrealist game exquisite corpse and we allowed chance to dictate what we drew by pulling words out of a hat (well, a plastic bowl) and did some serious Mad Libbing.

Did I say we set aside being the sole authors…? I lied. I may have mentioned previously the fever for sewing that has been sweeping the studio recently… well, it continues to grow. Every spare second is seemingly spent with needle and thread, making a “little guy”, a doll or sometimes a ghost-snowman-kitty.

Do you remember we made ceramic rattles? Well, we somehow found time to glaze them… they look terrific and we can’t wait until they go through the kiln for the final firing. I told you we were busy!
