Arts, Crafts, and Healthy Habits

September 17, 2012 • Passport To Preschool

In the Passport 2 Preschool program, it’s our job not only to inspire creativity in our students, but to also encourage solid learning habits and positive life skills. That’s why, this year, we’re implementing the Reggio teaching philosophy with our Passport 2 Preschool students. Essentially, this teaching method is structured to help children build community and guide their own learning within a supportive environment.

At Magical Minds Studio, we create a weekly topic and the children move around freely to various stations where projects and crafts are provided. Art, sensory, language, reading, science and math are all incorporated into these stations, and this week was all about health and nutrition.

In the photos below, you’ll see a few of our craft projects like “good food” collages, tissue paper suns, and apple marble painting, and you’ll also see everyone having fun at “circle time” with our instructors, Ms. Shawn and Ms. Adrienne!
