Usually the teachers lead the students through the projects, but while in Harry Potter Land, there’s been a much more balanced knowledge exchange between teachers and students. With most of our campers having read and/or seen the entire Harry Potter series, the week kicked off with amazing leaps of creativity. We imagined how Hogwarts might be now, creating our own houses, inventing new potions and elixirs and updating the house crests. We even created our own magical creatures, patroni and invisibility cloaks.
One of the highlights of the week was our Quidditch matches. We played one on one matches, chasing the quaffle while riding broomsticks. Luckily we played the bludger-free version.
We were going to have a Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson, but alas, we couldn’t find anyone to teach it.
