What’s your favorite bug? That was the question of the week while we learned about the Great Outdoors. Not all the answers were actually bugs, but there was a heavy emphasis on butterflies, and one vote for crabs. No one voted for mosquitoes.
We’ve been exploring the wildlife all around us, creating imaginary ecosystems and borrowing from nature to make artistic habitats. We talked about natural camouflage and how plants and animals use colors and sounds to communicate with the world around them.
It was our last week of summer camp, and it’s been great to spend time outside before heading back to school.
