Here at Magical Minds we’ve been taking advantage of the fall weather and the weekdays off school. The recent half days and institute days have been opportunities to spend time out of the Studio.
On one of the half days, we went to the park at Irving School. There were lava monsters and sack races and general silliness.
And we spent the last institute day bowling at Circle Lanes! Some of the kids had been bowling before, while others were trying it out for the first time. Some were going for the highest score, some were trying to throw the bowling ball the fastest, and some ambitious kids were going for both. Could this be the start of the Magical Minds bowling league?
Of course, none of these activities have caused us to make any less art. We’ve been making prints, sewing textiles, making haunted houses, creating masks and building the fanciest cat houses ever.
