At the Art Institute of Chicago on Monday, February 20th.
Students will experiment with wonderfully weird techniques for creating an image that Surrealists like Dali employed in creating masterpieces of the 20th century. Like the surrealists, they will perform automatic drawing, play exquisite corpse games, and create images using chance operations, among other things as they expand their definition of drawing what it means to be an artist.
Drop off between 8am and 9am. Wear clothes that can get dirty and comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle as well as a nut-free lunch and two snacks.
