An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until July 15, 2022
Come spend time outdoors exploring and getting to know more about our local forest preserves. This outdoor camp will focus on building awareness skills, making connections to the natural world, and developing an understanding of relationships and interdependence of systems and communities. This camp will provide an overview of wilderness safety, animal tracking, plant and tree identification, cooking simple outdoor meals, mindfulness activities and games. Participants will learn skills and practices they can incorporate into their daily lives. The camp will conclude with a stewardship workday clearing invasive species from a section of forest at Bemis Woods.
Please have your child wear appropriate outdoor clothing, a cap and sunscreen. Please send a water bottle and lunch.
