Pack a nut free snack and lunch
We’ll plan to be outside if the weather permits, hopefully playing in the snow. Camp will consist of free art/crafts, projects (below), games and outside play.
December
Monday/23 – Holiday Traditions Around the World
We’ll learn about the different traditions around the world and make an ornament or piece of art that represents that culture. We encourage campers to share their family traditions and heritage to bring us closer to understanding one another.
Friday/27 – Legos building and printing
Campers will have the opportunity to work in groups and independently as they complete a Lego challenge. In the afternoon we’ll make prints using Lego pieces.
Monday/30 – Cartoon drawing and painting
Campers will draw and then paint their favorite cartoon characters on a canvas. Then we’ll create a mini comic strip of their character.
Tuesday/31 – Miniature wonderland (clay and various materials)
Using modeling clay and various materials campers will design a winter wonderland. Once completed we’ll have them make a sketch of their 3D model.
January
Thursday/2 – Stuffed Toy sewing camp
Who doesn’t love a stuffy? We’ll guide campers to sketch a stuffy then select the provided materials to make it come to life. Basic sewing will be taught.
Friday/3 – Cookie Camp (making cookies and painting a cartoon version of the cookie)
Crazy about cookies? Then come on over to the Studio and make sugar as well as traditional chocolate chips cookies to eat! When we’re done we’ll make a painting of our favorite cookie on a canvas.
