With drums, anvils and stirrups, this week we’ve been listening to sounds and learning about our senses of hearing.
We hear sounds through the vibrations we pick up with our ears. It was fun to experiment with this when we made a telephone from cups and a string! The person talking into the cup at one end sent vibrations through the string connecting them to the other cup, which another person listened to.
The class also got a chance to make sounds together as what we’re now calling the Passport 2 Preschool Percussion Ensemble. They may have only had one rehearsal so far, but they are nearly to performance ready!
