Touch

December 22, 2017 • Passport To Preschool

We felt our fifth sense with our fingers this week, because we were learning about our sense of touch!

Using the sensors attached to our nerves in our hands, Passport 2 Preschool noticed many different textures this week. One activity was to reach into a mystery bag and notice whether the things inside were smooth, rough, prickly or soft.

The class held different art supplies and objects to describe their textures. They put finger paint on their hands, and then shook slimy hands with their neighbors. The group even made pillows, choosing different fabrics and deciding what they wanted to feel when resting their heads on the pillows!
