I promise there is a logical progression to the activities in Passport 2 Preschool, but at first glance it’s not clear why the kids learned about owls and black-lights. What are the links? The kids love owls. Who doesn’t? They talked about owls being nocturnal animals, they talked about being awake at night, and they talked about how owls can see when it’s dark at night. To get a sense of seeing things sharply in the dark, like owls can do, Ms Haj brought out the black-light! The group looked at the things that became bright, even when the room looks dark. Phew, we got there!
