Ruth Asawa said, “An artist is an ordinary person who can take ordinary things and make them special.” She was one of the artists we learned about in Passport 2 Preschool this week, and these were the words behind our artwork. We also learned about Detroit-based artist, Tyree Guyton, who helped us see beauty in the everyday objects around us. With these artists as our guides, the class assembled objects to reinvent them into something new!
